Orthopedic Dentistry
Orthopedic dentistry is currently developing in three areas: functional, operative and prosthetic orthopedics.
Arisen on the basis of prosthetics with defective teeth, now it is a whole science, its competence includes not only the replacement of decayed teeth, but also the study of the processes that resulted in the destruction, and the prevention of anomalies and deformations of the dentition.
In the human body, everything is interconnected: the state of the oral cavity and teeth in particular reflects the processes taking place in other organs. If there are deviations from the norm or pathological changes, they will certainly affect the condition of the teeth. And, conversely, with existing defects in the dentition, problems in the internal organs will necessarily arise.
That is why it is not worth neglecting calls to orthopedists when this is necessary, the consequences can be catastrophic not only for the oral cavity, but also for the whole organism.
