Tooth enamel is considered one of the strongest tissues in the body.  But even the strongest tissue of the body can be disturbed by certain products:

The first place is occupied by acidic foods and drinks, namely: citrus fruits, soda and juices - they are the main cause of enamel erosion, namely, erasing of tooth tissues.

 In second place are products with coloring properties, namely:

  • coffee
  • red wine
  • black tea
  • natural juices
  • vegetables and dark colored berries (blueberries, cherries, cranberries, beets, carrots);

 The third place in terms of "pests" of tooth enamel is taken by:

  • sauces and seasonings of bright yellow and brown color
  • curry and turmeric
  • tomato-based sauce
  • soy sauce
  • It can also be food colors and products with a chemical composition.
  • Further on the scale of "harm" to tooth enamel are carbonated drinks, with citric and malic acid in the composition - such drinks especially corrode the enamel.
  •  Foods and drinks that are too hot or too cold can also cause sufficient damage to the teeth - they can lead to cracks and further caries.
  •  A separate category of foods that destroy tooth enamel are very hard foods: nuts, seeds, crackers, hard candies, and so on.  Such products can cause enamel destruction and tooth chips - be especially careful with them!
  •  And of course, sugar-containing products occupy a special place, namely sweets - it's no news to anyone that sweets lead to tooth decay!  Don't get carried away!

But this does not mean that it is necessary to completely abandon all of the above, just limit the amount and frequency of their consumption.

And of course, visit your dentist on a regular basis for professional examinations and control hygiene every 6 months.
