How does the tooth extraction procedure for a child take place in our clinic’s dental office? This process consists of several stages:
A general examination of the oral cavity and the affected tooth in particular;Assessment of the real necessity for tooth extraction, and an X-ray if required;Anesthesia, provided the child has no allergic reaction;Once the anesthesia takes effect, the doctor proceeds with the extraction. This process is short-term;After successful removal, the doctor places a tampon on the resulting socket. It should be kept in place for at least half an hour to prevent bleeding.
It is important to remember that rinsing the mouth immediately after extraction is not allowed. The socket heals within a maximum of three weeks. If any alarming symptoms occur—such as fever, pain, or swelling—it is necessary to urgently visit the doctor who performed the extraction.
