Types of braces

Braces are modern compact brackets attached to the teeth to correct the bite and align the dental arch. Unlike old bulky designs, modern bracket systems are made of metal or transparent plastic, making them aesthetic and almost invisible. They effectively adjust the position of the teeth, correcting anomalies and creating a proper, beautiful smile.

Bracket systems are made from various materials — metal, ceramic, sapphire, and plastic. The choice depends on the treatment goals, aesthetic preferences, and the patient’s budget. Metal braces are the strongest and most affordable but less aesthetic. Ceramic and sapphire braces are nearly invisible but more expensive. For complete invisibility, lingual braces are used, which are attached to the inner side of the teeth.

Aligners are transparent removable trays that straighten teeth comfortably, discreetly, and without dietary restrictions. They are individually made using a 3D model, allowing the treatment outcome to be predicted in advance. Aligners do not cause irritation, do not affect speech, and are suitable even for adult patients. They are easy to remove during meals and tooth brushing, and when worn regularly for up to 22 hours a day, they provide a stable and predictable result.
