The Beyond 2 Ultra teeth whitening system is a simple, fast, and highly effective professional whitening method that uses an intense light source. This approach allows the enamel to be lightened by 6–8 shades without discomfort or harm to the patient. The system was developed and patented in the USA by “Beyond Technology Corporation,” a global leader in manufacturing modern dental equipment worldwide.

How it works: The high-intensity light beam, with a wavelength of 480–520 nanometers, evenly activates the specially formulated whitening gel, allowing the enamel shade to lighten by 6–8 tones.
Contraindications: The Beyond 2 Ultra whitening method is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as for children under 16 years of age. The procedure is also contraindicated for patients with allergic reactions to components such as peroxide and ethylene glycol.
Preparation for the procedure. As with any other dental treatment, everything begins with a professional examination and consultation with a specialist. At this stage, the patient discusses their expectations and desired results. A consent form for the procedure is also completed. According to modern global dental protocols, professional whitening can only be performed on healthy teeth. Therefore, before the whitening itself, X-ray diagnostics are conducted to assess the clinical condition of the patient. If necessary, dental treatment and a mandatory professional cleaning are performed immediately before the whitening procedure. Once the specialist confirms that all teeth are healthy and properly treated, the whitening can begin.

Photo documentation. The specialist may also suggest taking before-and-after photos to visually compare the results of the whitening treatment.

Gum protection. The patient is comfortably positioned in the dental chair at an angle of approximately 40 degrees and wears protective glasses. The specialist polishes the tooth surfaces with a special powder, followed by a mouth rinse. A retractor is then placed to keep the mouth open. The tooth enamel is carefully dried, and a special protective gel is applied to the gum area and the inner surface of the lips. The Beyond 2 Ultra lamp light is then used to activate the protective gel.
Whitening process. Once the protective gel is activated on the tooth surface, the specialist applies another gel containing the whitening formula in a 2–3 mm layer. A special mouthpiece with an integrated LED lamp is then placed in the oral cavity and securely fixed on the retractor. The specialist starts the whitening process using the previously set individual parameters and settings. During the procedure, the patient can swallow saliva freely if needed.
Three cycles. The “Beyond 2 Ultra” teeth whitening system works in several stages, consisting of three cycles of approximately 10 minutes each. The device automatically turns off after completing each cycle. After the first cycle, the remaining whitening gel is removed from the enamel, a new layer is applied, and the light mouthpiece is reattached. This process is repeated three times.
Completion of the procedure. After all three cycles are finished, the doctor removes the remaining whitening gel, as well as the protective gel from the gums and the inner surface of the lips, and then removes the retractor. The patient rinses their mouth with water at room temperature. The whitening result is visible immediately. The procedure is complete.

Medium intensity is suitable for patients with healthy, undamaged enamel who have mild yellowing or discoloration caused by staining foods or prolonged smoking.
High intensity is typically used for patients with pronounced dark stains on their teeth, such as gray or black discoloration.
For 24 hours after the procedure, the patient should avoid foods and drinks that contain colorants or pigments.
Smoking should also be avoided. The duration of the whitening effect directly depends on the quality and consistency of the patient’s at-home oral care routine, diet, and smoking habits.
For the first few days, it is recommended to follow a “white diet,” which includes: white meat and fish, egg whites, white rice, barley and oatmeal porridge, milk, butter, kefir, plain yogurt without additives or colorants, soft white cheese, cottage cheese, pasta, and vegetable oils.
Caution and Awareness. It is important not to underestimate the teeth whitening procedure or view it merely as a cosmetic treatment rather than a medical one — this is a fundamentally incorrect approach. Any type of whitening procedure must be performed exclusively by a qualified dentist.
