Simplified Treatment Process: First Visit:After preparing the tooth for the prosthetic crown, the dentist begins reshaping it. The reshaping procedure is performed under general or local anesthesia and is completely painless for the patient. Then, the prosthodontist performs a 3D scan and sends the results to the dental laboratory.Notably, our clinic network has its own digital dental laboratory “Sa-Nata Dynasty.” Having an in-house lab allows for unique quality control throughout every stage of crown fabrication. The visit concludes with the fabrication of a temporary crown, which ensures both an aesthetic appearance and functionality until the final crown is ready. It protects the tooth and surrounding tissues from trauma and helps the patient adapt to the new bite. Second Visit:After a certain period, the prosthodontist removes the temporary crown and tries on the finished solid zirconia crown. Once the fit and aesthetics relative to the rest of the teeth are verified, the dentist cements the crown in place. The lifespan of a high-quality zirconia crown is typically 15–20 years. Key Advantages of Zirconia Crowns Biocompatible and safe: contains no metal base and does not cause allergic reactions or irritation. Color matching: the dentist can select a shade that perfectly replicates your natural tooth color. No dark edges: unlike traditional crowns, zirconia crowns do not create gray or bluish gum lines. Exceptional quality: zirconia crowns combine durability, strength, and a highly natural appearance. In the past, the cost of zirconia crowns was very high, making them available only to a limited number of patients. Today, they are accessible to everyone who values natural beauty and the health of their smile.
To enhance aesthetics, the zirconia crown is coated with a special ceramic veneer that imitates the natural color of enamel. The ceramic layer is applied to the base and then fired in a furnace. Once the construction is complete, the dentist installs it on the prepared tooth. If necessary, additional adjustments are made to ensure a perfect fit and maximum comfort for the patient.
